Challenge:

Create a campaign that debunks the perception that Optima batteries are low quality

Solution:

Test the battery in the harshest environments to near destruction and showcase its charging capabilities in the aftermath

phase 1: battery tested

AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) Batteries are different than flooded batteries. They are far superior but not all AGM batteries are created equal. Optima batteries are thin plate which brings create a superior product over its competitors. So we took the product benefits and took them to the extreme.

Phase 2: Event tested

The battery testing was great to show the extreme end of the spectrum but what about real world situations? For that we went to high performance/endurance events and tested it there.

Before we test the batteries, we had to show that the highest standards of quality are maintained as they are built
